Briefly describe the path that brought you here (to RxGenomix).
As luck would have it, I was actually on the other end of a sales call. After seeing a brief presentation regarding PGx and what RxGenomix was doing, I couldn’t believe that it was exactly what I had been thinking about for the last eight years.
What motivated you to get involved with RxGenomix?
The more I learned about RxGenomix, the more I saw how similar our values and goals were. I knew pretty quickly that this would be the opportunity to live my dream career.
What is the one thing you most hope to accomplish with RxGenomix in the next five years?
My goal every day is to prove to the outside world that genetics is the ultimate foundation for precision medicine. Genetics give us the data for exactly how each individual is unique and applying it to patient care is going to be the bedrock of precision medicine.
What’s your personal business philosophy?
If you value the patient and their vision first, then rest will follow.
What is the one thing you can’t live without?
Well, it’s a tie so I’m going to have to say both chocolate and red wine.
Is there one book everyone should read?
Journey to the Heart by Melody Beattie
You have two weeks off. Where would you go?
You’d probably find me in either Italy, France, or Spain, and likely along their coast lines. Or maybe Bora Bora.
Who should play you in the movie about your life? (at your current age)
I’d like to say Greta Garbo (if she was still alive) but would have to go with Geena Davis or Sandra Bullock.
