Four researchers at the Mayo Clinic recently published an article on what’s driving the implementation of pharmacogenomics into actual practice. The availability of the test is just the beginning, as several pieces all need to fall into place for it to really work. The authors lay out the case for how PGx also needs to be integrated into the practice workflow and the healthcare team needs to have the knowledge to put the results to work for the patient.
